Show and Tell

They're (more than) Alright

British superheros Supergrass took over Brooklyn and NYC for four very much sold-out nights supporting the stateside release of their latest album and proved why they are still a band to be reckoned with.

Starting off with a group of new songs from Life on Other Planets and then peppering the rest of the set with popular favorites like "Caught By the Fuzz", "Sun Hits the Sky", and "Sitting Up Straight", Gaz never hit a wrong note and sounded better than ever but also showed how the band has grown since I Should Coco stormed the airways back in 1995 (yes, kids, it HAS been that long). The foursome was tight and, at least to these ears, every song was perfection.

Bands like Blink 182, Good Charlotte, Sum 41 and the rest of the lot should go out and buy a few Supergrass albums to see how it's really done because that's really who they want to be anyway...they just probably don't know it. ~S.Appel
