On the eve of the release of their debut self-titled CD, Chicago band OK Go took a night off from supporting Phantom Planet to play a headlining gig at NYC's Mercury Lounge.
It was hard to tell which band member was most excited about the forthcoming release, but singer Damian Kurlash probably wins the prize. Hopping around like a Bouncing Tigger before attacking the stage, Damian could barely hold back his enthusiasm: "We've been working so long and we can finally say we actually have a record!"
Playing songs from the new album (read the full review at Sound Checks) as well as some older material and a Toto cover, OK Go wowed the crowd with their infectious songs and excess energy. For more information about the band, go to the OK Go Official Site | |
