These 'Do's Give New Meaning to the Words "Hair Cut" Forget about the 80's revival, that's so old news. When it comes to style, many of today's rock 'n' roll boys are moving forward, leaving the shags, mullets, and faux-hawks behind in favor of something a little more 90's. Enter muse-of-the-moment Trent Reznor. Variations of the goth god's slick sight-impairing haircut are everywhere. One (reluctant) flip through Rolling Stone or Spin magazine and it's not hard to spot the Nine Inch Nail's influence over pop music's most meticulously coiffed musicians.
So what does it take to gain entrance into the Trent Reznor Hair Club for Men? A darker shade of locks, for one, and the darker, the better (inky black preferably). A cut that is sort of a reverse mullet, very long on top, but shorter on the bottom. And most importantly is the razor-sharp edges that look like they may actually cut someone if he or she got too close. It takes a lot of patience (and product) for the 'do to be picture ready as every single hair must be strategically worked to ensure maximum impact. No messy just-got-out-of-bed-head shags here; the idea is to actually look like you spent most of the evening working on it. Not sure if Trent himself even spends that much time on his locks, we reckon he was just born hair follicle-y gifted. But we are willing to do the research to find out. Trent...call us... |
